Your Initial Office Visit

When you have decided that our podiatry practice is the right one for you, give us a call at (845) 352-7507 to schedule your initial consultation or appointment. As is standard practice, we will need you to come a little early for the first visit so we can obtain the necessary health, insurance, and background information from you. Please remember to bring along your current insurance cards and preferred method of payment.

Dr. Stuart Birnbaum is an expert podiatrist capable of providing the necessary care for a wide assortment of foot or ankle conditions that you might experience. Some of these areas include ingrown toenails, bunions, diabetic foot care, sports injuries, skin, fungal nails, warts, and foot and heel pain. If you do not know what is wrong—only that you have foot or ankle pain—there is no need to worry! Dr. Birnbaum will provide an accurate diagnosis and develop a treatment plan that works for you.

We provide information on our website for education about the various foot and ankle conditions you might experience. This will hopefully prove to be a valuable reference point as you try to understand what is wrong with your lower appendages. Additionally, you can learn useful home care techniques or even methods for preventing issues from happening in the first place.

Insurance and Cancellation Policy

Our office participates with many insurance carriers. Feel free to give us a call at (845) 352-7507 with any questions regarding specific policies.

We do understand that emergencies arise, but our office does have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Please provide at least 24 hours’ worth of notice if you have to cancel a scheduled appointment for any reason. Unfortunately, failure to do so can lead to a charge of $25, which is not covered under insurance policies.
